Presentation Evening 2010

One fine Friday evening in June 2010 Leighton Buzzard Netball Club held their end of season annual awards evening at The Ship Public House in Leighton Buzzard.

There was a fine turn out with all of the girls out to have fun and hopefully win lots of trophies. It was fantastic to see that the Comets team were out in force and on a mission to down a few bottles of wine!! Jets, Harriers and Jaguars were not as strongly represented however what the girls lacked in numbers they certainly made up for in NOISE!!!! (not mentioning any names .... Sally King)

Everyone had a lovely evening and thanks go out to Sheelah McGregor for organising the event, thanks also go to Trish Travell who did a brilliant job organising the raffle, hopefully lots of money was made for the club. Presentation of the awards was hosted by Club Chairman Lisa Blout who after a few beverages had the courage to stand up in front of her lecturn and announce the winners over the microphone. (Good job Lisa x).

The evening was a real celebration of individual and team successes over the 2009-2010 season. Our congratulations go to all of the players that won awards and also to everyone who did not as we know netball is a team game and without everyone contributing and playing where would we be.

So thanks to all our members and here's to a good 2010-2011 xx
