Jets v Arrows

Saturday 5th November saw Jets play Arrows at Putteridge. Jets started off slowly with Arrows drawing ahead, it took half of the first quarter before Jets got into their stride and started to take back the game, with the quarter ending 8-11 to Arrows
Major changes were made for the 2nd quarter which saw Jets pull back the gap to -2 with some superb shooting from Adrienne and Helen, and great centre court work giving us the chances in the circle.
The third quarter saw some great defence work from Julia Monger against a very tall shooter who managed to score from the very edge of the circle time after time, and good solid centre court play enabled Jets to edge back to a deficit of one.
The final quarter saw Jets make some terrific interceptions from Theresa, Vicky and Karen and some great tips which managed to turn around possession, but Arrows were also upping their game with good defensive work and at the attaching end shots were flying through the net from all spots within the circle. Final scores were Jets 41 Arrows 44
