Jags V Diamonds Plate round Quarter final

The Quarter finals of the Plate competition saw Division Four Dunstable Diamonds put in a brave performance as they lost 39-30 to Division Three LB Jags

Diamonds only had six players, but started brightly with Gemma Beggie scoring in the first few seconds to put Dunstable ahead.

Jags took the first quarter 10-7 and slowly but surely extended their lead in the second.
Alex Humphreys and Catherine Allen kept the lone Beggie busy in centre court while Lauren Smit and Frances Berry, defended valiantly as Jags led 22-15 at half time.

Coral Richardson got her eye in during the third quarter, scoring seven of the 11 goals put away by Jags and although Diamonds took the final quarter 8-6 it was not enough.
